PERSONNEL OF THE 148TH U. S, A, IN TRAINING AT CAMP SHERMANJust to give the people of Miami county an opportunity to realize that the young men of the county are just as patriotic as in the days of the Civil war the following list is published in The Press showing the names and addresses of the volunteers to the 14s U. S. Infantry, formerly the Third Ohio N. G. Infantry. . With hut a few exceptions the list shows Miami county men who have offered their lives if need be to the cause they consider just.This regiment, one of the best in the country, is made up of veterans of the Mexican border affair and volunteers for service against Germany. The conscripted men are not In this outfit.The 148 U. S. Infantry is on guard duty at Camp Sherman and has a detachment at Fairfield. When it moves it will hit the Kaiser between the Adam's Apple and his liver, and the song which will bring to his heart the fear that his time is at hand is: also published.
