Samuel Surles was bora in Logan county Ohio, Juno 20, 1817, being at the date oil his death 78 years, 3 months and six days old. Samuel Surles and Mary M, Palmer were married April 4, 1841. By this marriage one child was born. The mother died August 8,1812, Samuel Surles and BufchO, Bayles wore married June 23, 1843. By this marriage were born 16 children, one died and 14 are now living, There are now living 32 grand children and 5 great grand ebildreu. The deceased with his family emigrated to Hardin couuty in the year 1858, landing here on the 23d
