Friday, Sept. 26, 1980 following a short illness. Father E. Verhulst of ficiated. Interment was at St. Claire Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Sylvester, Neil Stewart, Donald Langevin, Grant Langevin, Dennis Langevin and Dave Ballard. Phillip Travis was born at San Clara, Man., and received his education there. He married Yvonne Bedu in 1934 at San Clara and was actively engaged in farming in San Clara district until his death. Surviving are his wife Yvonne, two daughters Ida, Mrs. Ray Lachance at Swan River and Stella at San Clara, brothers Steve at The Pas, Elmer and George at Souris and Lennis at B.C.; a sister Flora, Mrs. Howard Martin at Washington, D.C.; six grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Roblin Memorial Chapel had care of arrangements. CECIL MAGUIRE Accidentally on Wed nesday, September 17th, 1980 at Roblin, Manitoba. Cecil Maguire, aged 69 years of Roblin, Manitoba. Cecil Maguire was born in Silverwood District in the Municipality of Shell River. He received his education in the Silver wood School District. Upon leaving school Cecil Maguire worked as mechanics with special talent in the field of steam engines. His love for steam engines and threshing machines motivated him to build models of both. Because of these interests he became known throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan as a pioneer of the steam age. Cecil was one of the founders of The Keystone Museum where he worked faith fully and diligently to preserve machines and tools from the pioneer era. Cecil k was predeceased by his parents and _ =- five brothers, Wesley, Jeremiah, William, Percy and Lawrence. He is survived by three sisters-in-law: Mae, Maguire of Roblin, Gladys Maguire of Kamsack, and Rosie Maguire of Winnipeg. Also 13 nephew and nieces. He will be greatly missed by Bar bara and Eva Steffler, close friends for many years. Funeral Services were held on September 20, 1980 from the Roblin Evangelical Church with Pastor Eugene McKenzie officiating. Interment was at the Silverwood District Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Harvey Maguire, Bruce Maguire, Ed Maguire, Melford Maguire, Earl McGinnis and Borden Hawryluk. Roblin Memorial Chapel were in charge of arrangements.
