The accident happened just a little south of Coldbrook on the Galesburg detour road between 8 and 9 o'clock last night.One of the tires blew out causing the casing to fly off the wheel with such force that it jerked Mr. Salmon from the steering wheel and he lost control of the car. The car swerved to one side and turned over twice, pinning him under it. Shortly after the accident E. F. Birditt of this city came by on his way home from Galesburg and brought Mr. Salmon to town.The ligaments in both of Mr. Sal-mo’s shoulders we/e torn and it is thought that a rib may be broken. Although his injuries are causing considerable pain they are not serious.
