PRELIMINARY FOR TANSY m SWIFTSam Tansy and Cal Swift Held for Preliminary by Commissioner Bathurst at Fort Gibbon This Morning,FLEMING IS NOW IN ACRITICAL CONDITIONCharge May Eventually Be One of- Murder in -the First Degree—Suspects Are Well Known in Fairbanks,“Attempted murder and robbery/’ is the charge lodged against Sam Tansy' and Cal Swift, who were this morning held over for preliminary hearingby Commissioner John Bathurst at Fort Gibbon.Jotya Fleming, the man the suspects are accused of holding up and attempting to shoot to death, for the poke he carried with him, is in' a critical condition in the hospital of the military post at Fort Gibbon, and the charge may very soon become one of murder in the first degree.The above information was the substance of a dispatch received by District Attorney Harlan from. Mr, Bathurst this morning, who further inquired whether or not the district attorney dehired to have a representative present at the preliminary hearing.
