DIED.McCOY-In Ketchum, Monday, September 26,1898, suddenly of croup, Charlotte Agnes, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William McCoy, aged 7 months and 21 days.The grief-stricken parenU have the sympathy of many friends in their great bereavement. The Angel of Death has torn from their loving embrace a precious, sweet babe, and like “Rachel for her children crying, will not be comforted.” The following beautiful lines may bring some balm to their wounded hearts:There is no flock, however watched andtended,But one dead lamb is thero!There is no fireside, howsoe'er defended But has one vacant chair!Let us be patient! These severe afflictions Not from the ground arise.But oftentimes celestial benedictions Assume this dark disguise.We see but dimly through the mists and vapors;Amid these earthly damps What seem to us but sad, funereal tapers May be heaven's distant lamps.The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon from St. Thomas’ Church. After the services were concluded the remains of little Charlotte Agnes were tenderly laid away iu the Ketchum Cemetery.
