Dcatli or Mrs. Haines.Mrs. Ursula Haines, wife uf Wm. Haines, died at their home one and one-lialf miles north of Steamboat i Rock, Wednesday night, Sept. 29, 1897, i in the G7tli year of her age. 1Her maiden name was Ursula Griswold. She was burn in New York,December 12th, 1S80, and was married to Wm. Haines, .Sept. 15, 1858. In 1800 they came to Iowa and settled near Steamboat Rock, where they have lived ever since, improving a large farm and accumulating considerable property. For thirty-seven years the family has been one of the most widely known and highly respected in that part of the county. For several years Mrs. Haines had been a sufferer from ill health. She had long been a member of the Presbyterian church, but united with the Congregational church when it was organized at Steamboat Rock. Hiehusband and two children, George and ! Mrs. Robert McCall, survive her.! Funeral services were held at the family home this afternoon, conductedby Rev. Kent.
