OLIVER P. ROSS.Oliver P. Ross died at his home in Sugar Creek township, Venango county, September 23. aged 57 years, after an iliness of several years. He was born in Mercer county in 1839. 1° *S6a hewas a foreman in the construction of the jameslown Franklin railroad, now tin’ Lake Shore. In 1874 he settled in Sugar Creek township township, and of late years gave most of his time to the pro auction of heavy oil. He was elected justice of the peace in 1882 and again in 1889, He was a member of Lockard Lodge, K. of H. In March, 1^63. Mr. Ross married the daughter of William Jones, of Mercer county. She survives, with five children, John W., Margaret R., Flora, Oliver P. and Elsie.
