ALMOST A MURDER.A Quarrel at Anmhiii|iUoii Fmi* Surloiwly*PerlmpN Fatally.Bpooiul to Decatur Dkrvatou.Assumption, 111. Sept. 110.—Almost a murder occurred here last night about 0 o’clock. Severul men were congregated at A. Cozalot’s linn her yard, among them John Brown, a farmer, and Charles Crews, a carpenter, who it is reported had bad feeling for each other. They engaged in a dispnte which ended in a quarrel, Brown threatening to club Crews. An officer present quelled the disturbance, blit Crews returned later, when Brown advanced on Crews to fight unarmed. Crews at once j attacked Brown, cutting him severely with a knife, in such a manner that Brown’s bowels protuded. Medical aid j was summoned, and it is doubtful if the wounded man will recover. Crews is still at largo.,
