Royal Lancers Hold Annual Awards PartyOver 150 people attended Yvonne's Royal Lancers second annual awards party, Nov. 1, at the American Legion Hall, Tinley Park. Trophies were handed out to 63 students for their participation in the 1967 parades.The party was given by their teacher, Miss Yvonne Evon and the trophies were purchased by the Royal Lancers’ Mothers Club.Trophies were given out to the following five students for perfect attendance in practices and parades: Donna Schwer, Denise Grandys, Carol Socha, Sandy Socha and Cathy Socha, all of Tinley Park.The remainder of trophies went to the following students: Charles Schmidt,Cindy Lewis, Tina Cummings, Cynthia Ryskamp, Linda Pustelnik, Becky Sprague, Terry Lamberty, Barbara Hatton, Shelia Bradley, Robin Mathews, Cheryl Binder, Joni Braden, Toni Bingham, Chris Bingham, Irene Mathews, Toni Hoogerverst, Kim Schmidt, Marla Harrison, Jill Cahill, Debbie Cummings, Sandy Hansen, Tracey Lewis, Marcy Caliban, Julie Hal-as, Suzanne Matulis, Janet Bettenhausen, Tina Neylon, Chris Ryskamp, Shirley Brzezinski, Linda Brzezin-ski, Stevie Montoya, LoriJohnson, Lori Braden, Kathy Tholl and Cathy Ann Hasen-kamp, all from Tinley Park.Students from Oak Forest are: Donny Ranson, Randy Ranson, Russ Vansickle, Mike Misheck, Joe Misheck, Helen Barton, Kathy Misheck, Linda Pauly, Tammy Vansickle, Vicky Stadden and Sandy Foss.Also Danny Dobrez, Jack Dobrez, Tom Dobrez and Kathy Dobrez of Flossmoor; Kim Anderson, Cary Anderson, of Champaign; Kathy Semback of Country Club Hills; and Diana Naumanand Dianne Hill both from Mo-kena.The winner of the 1967 Royal Lancers Sportsmanship award went to Miss Terry Lamberty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lamberty of 17704 Ridge-land, Tinley Park. Terry was selected on her good sportsmanship she displayed during the practices, parades, lessons and at contests.The climax of the party occurred when Mrs. Mary Socha, president of the mothers club, presented Yvonne with a pendant watch, **in appreciation of her work with the students at practices, lessons and contests.”The party was enjoyed by all who attended. The girls and boys are now looking forward to even a busier season than last year.
