Ella Mae StemenMrs. Flla Mae Stemen, 77, of Elida, died at 8 p.m. Monday in St. Rita’s Hospital.Born Ian. 2, 1888, in Cold-water, Mich., she was a daughter of Charles and Harriet E. (Cone) Layman.Surviving are her husband, Daniel G ; one son, Howard L. Betz of Rt. 2, Elida; two stepsons, Everett P. Stemen and Robert E. Stemen, both of Elida; one daughter, Mrs. Bud (Grace) Stombaugh of 1798 B St.; one step-daughter, Mrs.Ray Schwartzkopf of Nevada; one brother, Carl Layman of Toledo; 14 grandchildren; and fivegreat-grandchildren.She was a member of the Women’s Relief Corps, Stella Rebekah Lodge, Council of Elders, WCTU, Grace MetfaodistChurch and WSCS.Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Chiles and Sons-La-man Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Cramer and Rev. Clarence Carnahan will officiate and burial will be in Marion Memorial Park Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
