Sociology Groups To Confer At Wesleyani -i Middlebury’s Department to Send Representatives to The Marriage ConferenceProf. Julius S. Kingsley and Prof. Russell G. Sholes and representatives from the advanced sociology classes of the college are planning to attend the conference on marriage to be held this year at Wesleyan university, Middletown, Conn., December 8 and 9.The conference is being held under the auspices of the Wesleyan campus club, and invitations have been extended to nearly fifty colleges and universities :.n the east.Margaret Sanger is the leading speaker on this year's program. She is widely known for her efforts to legalize the dissemination of birth control information, and will defend her case during the meeting.Prof. Erdman Harris, of Princeton university, whose book, “Twenty-one”, has received a great deal of favorable I comment, is also scheduled to speak. Gladys H. Groves is to present the oth-1 er view in, “The Feminine Side of It”.! Mrs. Groves is the co-author with Er-j nest R. Groves of “Sex in Marriage”.Father John M. Cooper, ethnologist at Catholic university, will speak on the attitude of the church toward mar- ’ nage and the solution of the attendant problems.Round table discussion will be led by Dr. William B.
