(From Friday's Daily) T. J. McCURDy T. J. McCurdy, formerly of Ada and a member of W. L. Byrd camp of United Confererate Veterans, Ada, died at the home of his daugh ter, Mrs. Kate Harris, Henryetta, November 19th. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Tupelo, Okla., November 20th and interment made in the Byrds Prairie cemetery three miles south of Tupelo. Grandpa McCurdy was born in Washington county, Arkansas, Au gust 22nd, 1842. He served through the entire period of the Civil War and at its close moved to Texas, and thence to, what was at that time, Indian Territory. He is sur vived by three sons and one daugh ter, all of whom reside in eastern Oklahoma except H. C. McCurdy who lives at Yuma, Ariz.
