One part of the country is buying low-priced coal, according to Peter Targhetta, who, with T. B. Clark, is opening a coal wine at Tabfona, in Duchesne county. He states that they have 500,000 tons of coal to sight and that they are selling to the farmers and ranchers* in the vicinity at the rate of $3.50 a ton. The claim is on government land, but the operators have a tenyears’ lease with an option for ten years more.
