VERDI CLUB WILL ADD TWO NAMES TO ITS BRIDE’S BANNER.At the meeting of the inusicale of the Verdi Club in the Waldorf-Astoria 011 Decejnber 6, two members of the club will have their names added to the “Brides’ Banner,” which is of white satin with red lettering. Mrs. Enrico Caruso and Mrs‘. Florence Foster Jenkins, the latter founder and president of the club, will receive the eight brides of the season. The new ones will re-ceive white satin engagement books bearing their initials, as did the brides at the last meeting. Mrs. Samuel Rossjter Betts who, before her marriage last Tuesday in Minneapolis, Minn., was Mrs. Lillian Verne Armstrong, is expected for the January meeting.Mrs. Jenkins received the gift of a large American flag at the last meeting as a token of the apprecia* tion of the members. A presentation address was made by Mr. William Thorne Matthews as the flag was borne into the room by a young National Guardsman and a Boy Scout, both of whom were in uniform.
