Fathers Crimont and Monroe Officially Open the New St. Joseph’s Hospital— Is Dedicated With the Ritual of the Catholic Church, , Many Persons Being Present.Yesterday was a” Thanksgiving day in double sense to Father Monroe and Father Crumont, as they were en-•ible.l, in addition to the regular thanksgiving to celebrate the formal opening of St.. Joseph's hospital.Strenuous efforts were used to have the formal opening on that day as promised; and success attended the efforts of those interested All the visitors yesterday oii going through the building expressed delight and satisfaction at the erection and completion of this much needed institution, and declared it a credit to the energy and zeal of the indefatgue-able Father. Indeed there were so many congratulations showered on Father Monroe last evening by visitors of all creeds and classes that it could not be wondered at that he felt proud as well as happy.The following ladies and gentlemen energetically assisted in the preparation for the opening, and as long as the institution lasts their efforts aud devotedness cannot be forgotten:Mrs. Doherty, Mrs. F. Taylor.I On Wednesday evening Fathers Cri-j moat and Monroe had the doctors of | the town invited to supper, and to j look over the field ottheir future prac-j tiee. Those who attended were Doc-j tors Hall, Carmichael, Piperno, Le-j Mane, MarCallum and Varicle. The Rev. Bettirher, representing St. Mathew’s hospital, was also one of the guests. Dr. Cassells was unexpectedly absent, having been called away professionally to Cleary creek.Yesterday at J p. m. the usual ceremonies or the Catholic ritual were solemnly gone through by Fr. , Criruona. in blessing the hospital In ' the presence of a large number of visitors and friends. In his address to those present he expressed thanks on behalf of the good SlsterB, Father Monroe and himseir to those generous people who helped the foundation of the Institution, which would he devoted to the help of sufferers, without any distinction. in the Tau-ana district.Owing to the severity of the weather, many were prevented from visiting the hospital.Following are the names of some of the visitors who were shown through the new building: J.
