TV station purchasedMARTINSBURG, W.Va. CAP) — A Florida communicationscompany on Monday purchasedthe broadcasting license and property of bankrupt WYVN-TV in Martinsburg, a federal bankruptcy court spokeswoman said.U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge L. Edward Friend in Wheeling approved the sale of the station to Paxson Communications Corp. in Clearwater, Fla., for $1.9 million, Leslie Carroll, the bankruptcy case administrator said.Lowell W. Paxson is the chairman and director of the company.The company owns WTLK-TV in Rome, Ga.; is buying WTGI-TV in Wilmington, Del., and owns WPBF-TV in West Palm Beach, Fla. The company also owns 17 ratio stations, and three state radios networks in Tennessee.
