O. V. Eason, Portsmouth, Va, Mrs. A. F. Williams, Helena, Ga., and Miss Inez Phillips, Helena Ga. He is also survived by his wife, one sister Mrs. Dor sey Benson, of Flowery Branch, Ga., one brother Mr. Geo. Phill ps of Pasedena, California, and 24 grand children. He was a member of the Baptist church, also the Masonic and Odd Fellow Orders. He was 69 years of age at the time of his death.The deceased had a wide circle of friends throughout this county, having moved here 22 years ago, living in both McRae and Helena, Ga. In closing will say he never did aught to his fellowman, lived what he professed, was a good, honest, upright citizen, a loving father and a devoted husband. He went to his reward with a smile having stating numbers o f times while sick, that he was anxious to go, was ready and wanted to hurry on to meet his loved ones who were waiting for him. He never feared death but was anxious for the end. All his family were at the bed side for over a w'eek before the grim reaper came and all that loving hands could do for his recovery wms done but he was so anxious to hurry on to his reward his body lent no resistance to the disease.The funeral was held in the Helena Methodist church Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock Bro. C. L. Nease pastor of this church officiating. Interment was in the Helena cemetery.The sorrowing family have the sympathy of a host of fiends.
