Mrs. Jacob Cook, of Beaverdam valley, died on Friday last, of consumption. She leaves two children, one 3 years old and the other two months old to be cared for bv the husband. The funeral took place on Sunday, the remains being buried at Holmes church. It is sad when the mother is taken from the little ones but such is of earth. The funeral was largely attended, which gives evidence of the appreciation of the deceased in her neighborhood.
