Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ken neth Woods, 2012 S. North ern, over the Thanksgiving vacation were their son and daughter. Miss Barbara Woods is a junior at William Jewell College, Liberty, and a major in physical education. Mike Woods is a graduate student with mathematics ma jor at the University of Mis souri at Kansas City. All went to Topeka for Thanksgiving dinner with Mrs. Woods’ brother, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Weikal and three children. It was the Weikal’s 20th wedding anniversary and also the 23rd birthday of Mike Woods. Weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Emerson, 3318A Oxford, were Mr. and Mrs. Lou Haupt and a son, Steve, from Ferguson. The Haupts are Mrs. Emerson’s parents. Tom Wesner, a student at the University of Missouri at Columbia, has returned to his classes after spending the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Wesner, 650 E. Red Road. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur O’Leary, Miss Mary O’Leary and Richard O’Leary, 826 W. Waldo, and Mr. and Mrs. Cc. C. Bundschu, 1718 Drumm, were the Thanksgiving guests of the O’Learys’ daughter, Mrs. Edward W. Hokanson Jr. and Mr. Hokanson at Joplin. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Seamands, 3816 S. Spring, had several holiday guests Mrs. Mildred Fletchall, sister of Mr. Seamands, was here all of last week from Ames, Iowa. His cousin, Dr. Clair Brew er, Mrs. Brewer and Mrs. Brewer’s mother, Mrs. Stew art, were here for Thanks giving day from Springfield. From Thursday to Sunday, guests were Mrs. Fletchall’s daughter, Mrs. Tom Manion, Mr. Manion and three chil dren, and Mrs. Mamie Seamands, mother of Mr. Seamands and Mrs. Fletchall, from Lakewood, Colo. On Thanksgiving Mr. Seamands and his nephew, Tommy Manion, shared a birthday. Tommy’s sisters are Christy and Shelly. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Stone were visitors from Wednesday to Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James M. Stone, 601 W. Truman Road The younger Stones have returned to studies at the University of Missouri, Col umbia, where John is a grad uate student He received a bachelor of arts degree in August in political science and is now doing work in political thought. His wife, the former Virgin ia Ann Hall of Atlanta, Ga., will receive a bachelor of arts degree in creative writ ing in January.
