Jay Mills, formerly master of cere monies at the Riviera theatre here, ds. defendant in a suit for$100, filed in municipal court at Des Moines by C. I. McNutt, Des Moines attorney. The suit asks payment of fees for legal services alleged to have been rendered defendant in connection with a divorce action started by Mills’ wife in Polk county district court. Mills, who was until recently mas ter of ceremonies at the Capitol the atre, Des Moines, is now in a similar position at the Riviera theatre in Omaha. The wife, who started the divorce action, is the former Ruth Glanville, saxophonist, who appeared in programs with Mills at the Riviera hero. cNutt’s petition for damages names the defendant as “Irving Berstein, also known as Jay Mills.” It states that attempts to collect at torney fees from Mills were made without result.
