MISSING PROFESSOR PUTS IN APPEARANCEProf. Donald Keister, University of Wisconsin, Returns in/Dazed Condition. .DISAPPEARED WEEK AGO(By United Press.)MILWAUKEE, Wis., Nov. 29.— Prof. Donald C. Keister,' University of Wisconsin faculty member, missing for a week, today walked into a lawyers office here. Keister seemed in a mental dase and could give no explanation of his movements.' Keister is thought to have disappeared in or around Indianapolis Sunday or Monday. His last communication with anyone who knew him was a telephone call from him placed at an Indianapolis hotoi, to his wife in Mt. Pleasant, Pt.uKeister was driving an automobile from Milwaukee to Mt. Pleasant to spend Thanksgiving day with his wife, who was visiting her family. He stopped in Indianapolis, a short lime and a letter marked Indianapolis and signed ’‘.Martha B. Thornton,” said that Profgessor rWeiste had said that Professor Keister had been seriously hurt in an automobile accident- •Upon receipt of this letter, Martin W.:- Wallaeli, Milwaukee attorney, came here Wednesday and started a search. He has been unsuccessful in locating “Martha B. . Thornton.” Mrs, Keister and her brother. Hand-son W. Ishii, of Mt. Pleasant, were to arrive here today to help in the search.Just before Keister left Milwaukee on the afternoon of .Nov., 19, he was given bonds and negotiable papers valued at $24,000- It is not known whether he had these along when he disappeared. . .
