KNEE—CHAFE. TUESDAY, the 26th inst., a very pretty wedding took place at St. George's Church, Brigus, in the presence of a large number of friends, when Miss Edith M., daughter of Mr. H. G. Chafe, was united in matri mony by the Rev. Mr. Bull, to Mr. Ken neth R. Knee. The bride was charmingly attired in white silk, with bridal veil, and orange blossoms and was given away by her father. ‘The bride was attended by Miss Ethel Jerret and Miss Beatie M. Chafe, sister of the bride, The brides maids being daintly gowned in cream nuns veiling. ‘The groom was supported by Mr. W. J. Chafe, of the employ of S. E. Ir land's, and attended by Mr. Percy L. D. Knee, brother of the groom. After the ceremony the happy couple drove to“ Sea view,”’ the residence of the bride’s parents, where a reception was held at which 40 guests attended. The presents received by the bride were numerous, handsome and costly, testifying to the esteem in which she was held. ‘The bridegroom is the sec ond oldest son of the genial Captain 41. Knee, of the 8.8. Clyde, who for many years has occupied a prominent position among the successful men of Newfound land. The bride and groom, accompanied by Mr. W. J. Chase, Mr. Perry L. D. Knee, Mrs. Chase Laing, and Miss Maud Kean, returned to town by the 11 p.m. train, where the happy couple will spend a few days before returning to their future home. The Teesram tenders to the bride and groom wishes for a long life of un interrupted happiness. PENNEY-- TAYLOR. THE wedding of Mr. Jno. H. Penney, second son of Capt. J. H. Penney, of Car bonear, to Miss May Taylor, daughter of Mr. Giles Taylor, of this city, took place last night. They will reside at Harbor Rock Hill, Carbonear. The Terecram ex tends congratulations.
