The High River Eye-Opener has the following to say regarding Mr. flaultain’s recent visit to England :When the Hon. Frederick Haultain, premier of the North-West Territories, was presented to the King at Windsor Castle he was somewhat surprised to see in the courtyard a couple of vicious looking bronchos, a small bunch of©steers and a coil of rope. It appears that some of the King’s retinue, haw-haws of the Household Brigade, had told His Majesty that' Mr* Haultain being from the Western plains must of necessity be a wild Western cowboy and that it would be regarded asa compliment . by that country if its premier were • afforded an opportunity of showing his prowess in broncho-bqsting and in roping and tying down a bally bullock, don’t j'ou know. Fortunately they had forgotten to provide a stock saddle, so that the genial Fred, after affecting great disappointment, was able to wiggle out of the difficulty gracc£ullj\ It wus the cold perspiration thus caused that resulted in a chill and confined Mr. Haultain to a sick bed from which he has not yet arisen.
