Bovard.CicPutOn the night of August 14, 1894, the shoe store of Sims and Blair was broken into in this city and about fifty dollars | Ker worth of goods were taken. From the pointers surouding the robbery, the proprietors and the detectives concluded the thieves resided in this city. A close watch has been made of the maneuvers of certaiu parties, and a short | Oye time since George Erwine was noticed by C. F. Sims to be wearing a pair of shoes similar to some of those stolen from the S. B stock. Other pointers indicated the implication of II. C. Pyle jand on Wednesday a warrant was is- 15,sued and Erwine and Pyle were arrested. They were taken before Justice Zimmerman, where they waived a preliminary hearing, and in default of bonds which were fixed at $500 each, ,)l( were committed to the county jail to await the action of the grand jury later on.
