THE YUMOOKER TONIC COMPANY. Batavia Organizatio Thet Wil Make Proprietary Medicines. Articles of incorporation of the Hooker Tonic Company of Batavia have been filed with the Secretary of State and were recorded in the County Clerk's office this morning. The af pect for which the company is or ganized is to manufacture and sell a prep aration to be known as Hooker's Tonic,’ and the capital stocks $26,000, divided to 250 shares of $100 each. It is organiz ed for twenty years and the directors are William Hooker, Edwin R. Hall, A. D. Foster and Clayton M. Shela of batavia and Charles M. Gibson of Barre Center. Whe directors have elected officers as fol lows: President and Treasurer, William Hooker; Vice President, Edwin R Hall; Secretary, Charles M. Gibson ; Superinten dent, HD Foster; Mr. Hooker, the President of the com pany, who is a well-known resident of Ba- tavia, has been at work five years on the UEC aceHtn which bears His name. Its in redients are extracts of hops, malt and row, combined with roots and herba. Mr. Hooker has had considerable experience in this business, having been at one time extensively engaged in the manufacture of proprietary medicines in New York City. The lin street brewas? building, owned by Mr. Hooker, will be used as a factor by the company and operations have al ready been commenced there. It is pro posed to engage in the vessels on an ex tensive scale and the tonde will be placed at the market before the first of January. Theloompany also propos to engage in the manufacture of other premaiations.
