The park,1' he said, will embrace about 6,000 acres, and will be several miles around. The greater part of this laud has belonged to Mr. Lori I lard for years, and about 1,000 acres more have been secured by him of the Sterling Mountain Company. The park will be all iu Orange County, but a portion of it runs for some distance right along the Rockland County line. The park will be controlled by an association of wealthy gentlemen of New York City, who will engage in sports hero both in winter and aummer. They will hove to pay a good initiation fee, and their annual dues will amount to considerable. The grounds are to be well stocked with deer and different kinds of birds, and the streams with trout. Trnxedo Lake, from which the park derives its name, is already stocked with black bass. I put them in there myself several years ago, and they will never ran oat. They are a very gumey fifth, and have entire control of the water, m they will allow no other kind uf fish to live where they are.” Little Nigger Pond, also embraced in the park, lies about a quarter of a mile from the station, and contains a tine supply of pickerel.
