t--1-V)/leleididar2-O,serai-70ie10et5T-3tst,ledlkalInr-1-straisLeague Holds Tea In DormLocal Group Presents Authors Friday Afternoon.Mrs. Olive Roberts Barton, Mrs. Elsie Singmaster Lewars, and Mr. Frederick Tilberg were pilt;esented at a tea given by the Gettysburg Women's League in the women's dormitory last Friday afternoon, at which more than one hundred guests were present.Mrs. Barton, who is the sister of Mrs. Mary Roberts Rinehart and who writes daily articles on child guidance for the Scripps-Howard syndicate, read one of her own articles entitled^ “Do You Believe in Fairies?” which appeared in several of the widely read newspapers. In her article, Mrs. Barton advocated idealism in one’s life, particularly in the raising of children.Mrs. Elsie Singmaster Lewars, widely known author, read one of her short stories, which had appeared in the “Atlantic Monthly,” entitled “Sweeney, I Bid Thee Depart.” The story was based on the humorous aspects of Pennsylvania Dutch life and interpreted in the Pennsylvania Dutch dialect.Mr. Frederick Tilberg, brother of Dean Tilberg, closed the program with the rendering of “Aria” from “Comus” by Arne, “Tommy Lad” by Margeston, and “Absent” by Metcalf. He was accompanied by Mrs. Gilbert Reen.
