Thanksgiving Donations Asked—Year’s Report of Asylum Issues, Superintendent 8S. D. Porter, of the new orphan asylum, for the colored youth of Cincinnati, is out with his ap peal for Thanksgiving donations, aug menting the request with the statement that~ the number of inmates has in creased greatly during the past year and that all expenses have also in creased. He is also sending out copies of the sixty-first annual report of the trus tees, which shows the exact number of inmates, the financial condition of the asylum and gives a list of all who have subscribed in the past. A trifle over $200 was donated last Thanksgiving Day.
