The Crow’s Nest Pass Coal company purpose starting a company store at the mines. The merchants of Fernie are hostile, as many of them went into business on the strength of an understanding that the company would not operate a store in connection. Now that the company has sold nearly all its lots in the town at high prices,it has decided to try the pluck-me atore.
