At the term .of the Hardin District Court, several members of a gang of horse thieves recently unearthed in Iowa were put on trial* Sylvester Hotfc pleaded guilty of horse, stealing, and was.sentenced to two years in the penitentiary. Schuyler Holly pleaded guilty, but the sentence on him was postponed till next term. The escape of E, B, Cheney, leader of the gang, has already been published. David Wood and Harvey Murphy pleaded guilty of stealing money, and were setfenced to the penitentiary for three years each,The majority lor ratification of the new Alabama constitution will not bo-less than 50,000, and may reach 60,000.
