Sr. LucretiaADRIAN — Sr. Mary Lucretia, the former Margaret Bernadette Maher, died at Bixby Hospital on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the age of 90.She was in her 66th year of religious profession as a member of the Adrian Dominican Congregation and had been a resident of Maria Health Care Center since 1968.Sr. Lucretia spent over 50 years in the teaching profession in the mid-western states. She was the teacher of business education at St. Joseph Academy and St. Mary's School in Adrian. In addition she taught at several other schools: St. Clair, Maybee, Dearborn, Owosso, Munising, and Hudson, Ml; St. Charles,Chicago, and Rockford, IL; and St. Mary in Defiance, Ohio.Two sisters, Julia and Frances Maher of Detroit, and two brothers, James of Carsonville, Ml and Ferdinand of Pennsylvania survive Sr. Lucretia. *The wake and Bible Vigil took place at the motherhouse Nov. 18. Rev. Eugene Fox of St. John the Baptist Church, Hub-bardston, Ml was the main celebrant at the Mass of Resurrection in Holy Rosary Chapel on Friday; the * haplains from the motherhouse and the college concelebrated with Fr. Fox.Burial was in the Congregation Cemetery.
