S. with -12 services between 33 countries and 190 ports. The Galveston office was established In 19-15 and maintains preferential docking space at piers 30-33.Vessels of the Bloomfield line offer service from Galveston to North Europe and the United Kingdom and States Marine ships offer regular sailings to the Par East and Mediterranean ports.Isthmian Line ships ply the waters from Galveston to India, Burma, the Persian Gulf, Mediterranean ports and t h e Red Sea.Inlei coastal services between Gulf and Pacific ports and from Pacific lumber porls lo Atlantic ports also are offered.Bagging and TeaImports usually consist of bagging, jtile and tea from India and frequent shipments of sleel from Europe. Exports range from cot Inn to flour, rice and other commodities.Forly-six vessels sail under the u. S.-flag from Stales Ma-1 :t.rinc and Isthmian Lines regularly along with numerous chartered vessels.The company's main headquarters is located in New York with other offices located throughout the U. He has been active in Galveston maritime circles fur more than 20 years and is a member of 1 h e Wharves Board of Trustees.He joined States Marine in ITM5 and has heen with them ever since.An admiral in the Texas Navv, Jones is past president of the Galveston Maritime Association. Propeller Club and vice president of the Propeller Club of the U. S.States Marine - Isthmian also maintains a district office at Houston.
