Old Veteran Gene. Eckhart, Md., Nov. 24—Mr. John Closterman, an aged and respected citizen, died at his home on Red Hill on Tuesday, Nov. 17 Mr. Closterman was a veteran of the Civil War and received a pension. The cause of his death was paralysis. He leaves to mourn their loss a widow two daughters, Mrs. Samuel Logsdon and Annie Leeta Closterman, and five sons, John, Charley, Frank, Joseph and Samuel. On Thursday, Nov. 19, the remains were taken to the SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, Cumberland, where requiem mass was said. The funeral cortege then cemded to the SS. Peter and Paul's cemetery, where in terment was made, Father, dear, thou has left us. Left us, yes, forever more. But I hope that we shall meet thee on that bright and happy shore. Helpful Daughter.
