Birth Anniversary.Tuesday, the 23rd inst., Mrs. Geo. X. Howard, of 200 North Sandusky street, completed her 88th year. It was made the occasion of the gathering together of her family at the j home of her daughter, Mrs. Grace ( Leonard, with whom she resides. Aj sumptuous dinner was served, and with many congratulations, much merriment, and the bestowal of numerous useful gifts, Mrs. Howard was made to feel that to round up 88 years was an achievement of some distinction.Those present were Mrs. G. W. Bright, Mrs. Sinclair Nace and Miss Helen Quinn of Columbus, Dr. and' Mrs. Wm. W. Lance of Celina, Mrs. t Bert E. Rice of Portsmouth, Va., j Mrs. Grace Leonard and Miss Olive ■ Howard of this city.Mrs. Howard greatly enjoyed the; occasion and with a new inspiration j starts out on her 89th year, with , hopeful success in its completion.She also feels very grateful for the kind remembrances and con-lt; gratulations which have come to her from her Delaware friends.
