Mrs. Catherine McVeigh, who died at her home in Georgetown on Thursday night at the ape of 74 years, greatly surprised her children who gathered about her bedside, when she announced to them, Just before she died, that she had a large sum of money secreted in the house. After making the statement she lapsed into unconsciousness and soon passed away. A search of the house was later made and a big roll of money was finally located, which amounted to $1,280. The money was turned over to the care of Rev. Father McCabe, of St. Joseph’s ohurch, and in all probability the money will be divided among the children.
