Dedication—New Church.—Thenew Baptist meeting house in Bowdoin Square, Boston, was dedicated, as we learn by the Watchman, on Thursday eveningj the 5th inst. The new church was recog-nized at the same time. The house was filled with a dense throng an ^s tnany moie \vent away unable to gain admittance.Introductory prayer by Bro. Neal; Sermon by Bro. Hague ; Prayer of recognition by Dr. Sharp ; Address to the church and hand of fellowship by Bro. Stow.— The largest part of the new church was dismissed from Bro. Stow’s, aud the person selected to receive the hand of fellowship was formerly one of his deacons.— Concluding-Praver by Bro. Turnbull.— This is the third Baptist church organized in Boston within twenty months; and has one hundred and fifty members. The House has 132 pews on the floor and 44 hi the gallery and will seat 1300 persons. The cost of the land, 825,138, and that of the house including organ carpets c. 842,462. Under the floor is a spacious vestry and several*Committee and school rooms. The house is plain, yet built in the most durable and -substantial manner • and for convenience in locality and structure, for neatness and good taste, is probably rot surpassed bv any house of worship in the city.—N.
