Edgar Ehlers, of Indianapolis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ehlers, was solemnized Friday morning at 11 o’clock at the ‘home of the Rev. H. S. James, pastor of the United Brethren church. Mr. ‘and Mrs. Ehlers left immediately for ‘Indianapolis, where they will reside. ‘Mr. Ehlers is an employe at the hotel ,Washington. The Ornis Melas is to entertain with none of the notable holiday affairs this Yuletide season when it will give a dance Christmas night at the Eagles C lab. The Howard Mellencup orches tra, of Defiance, Ohio, is to play for the dance, making its debut to Rich mond dancers. Several hundred in vitations are to be issued in the next fortnight for the affair. The com mittee in charge is composed of Miss Josephine Hiatt, chairman; Miss Helen Hazeltine, Miss Gertrude Wil liams, Miss Birdice Norris, Miss Kath erine Binkley and Miss Doris Puckett. Mrs. Emil Marinace, who is leaving in a few days for residence in New York City, was the guest of honor at a theatre and luncheon party Thurs day evening. The party attended the Washington theatre after which a two-course luncheon was served at the Polly Prim Tearoom. Among those in the party were: Mrs. Emil Mari nace, Mrs. J. W. Morris, Mrs. George Arnold, of New Paris, Ohio, Mrs. Fred Parker, Mrs. Paul Neff, Mrs. J. L. Blossom Mrs. Arthur Conner, Mrs. Dean Merniing, Mrs. Chester Sigler, Mrs. Carl Shaffer, Mrs. Howard Mer ill, Mrs. Ed Hohmann, Mrs. J. W. Jen kins, and Mrs. Omer Ryan. Miss Florence Fosnot was given a party in honor of her birthday, Thurs day evening. The time was spent with games and dancing. The Daffodil club was entertained with a pretty party Thursday after noon by Mrs. Edwin Sharp at her home on Randolph street. A musical program was given during the after noon, Mrs. Arthur Bundy, Mrs. Walter Snavely, Mrs. Ralph Little and Miss Bernice Goebel taking part. The time was spent in needlework and later re freshments were served by the hostess. Guests of the club were: Mrs. Willard Stump, Mrs. Bruce Cline, Mrs. Claude Addleman,Mrs. Mr Bundy, Mrs. Ralph Little, and Mrs.Fred .Goebel. Members present included: Mrs. Har ry Darnell, Mrs. Hay Sharp, Mrs. George Reid,Mrs. Walter Snavely, Mrs. Ray Meeks, Mrs. John Schattell, Mrs. Charles Dove, Mrs. Walter Mur ray, Mrs. Jennie Fogel, and Mrs. Bad win sharp. The next meeting will be held in two weeks with Mrs. John Schattell at_her home on North Thir teenth street. Mahlen Walls entertained the fol lowing guests at a 6 o'clock dinner Wednesday evening: Rex Sauter, Jack Mattox, Bernard Kohnle, Merlin Mur ry, Harold Malone, Ralph Kennedy, Mr. Miller and Coach Hiarold Little, Miss Martha Terhune, 201 South Eleventh street, entertained at dinner and cards Wednesday evening for a number of friends. Yellow and white chrysanthemums were used on the dinner table and formed decorations through the rooms. The guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Blair Hartley, Mr. and Mrs. George Kagey, Mr. and Mrs. Lo thair Tector, Mr. and Mrs. Houston Ferris, Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Davis, and R. H Hudson, all of Hagerstown, Mrs. Charles Frank, of Connersville, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thurston and H. J. Haynes, of this city. Mrs. James W. Morrisson and her 600, Reeves, who have been visiting Mr.and Mrs. W. D. Foulke, returned to her home in Chicago Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilson, of South Sixth street, will entertain at supper, Friday evening, the Rev. and Mrs. C. B. Pugget, of Ashland, Ky., and the Rev. and Mrs. L. F. Ulmer and daughter, Ruth, of Chest nut street. The Rev. Faggett is con ducting revival services at White water. _ A meeting of the Parent-Teacher as sociation of Sevastopol school will be held at the school Friday evening with a Special program and other features. All patrons are cordially invited. The Carnation club meets Friday evening with Mrs. R. E. Sterling, at 14% North Ninth street. A cafeteria supper is to be served pom 6:30 to 8 o'clock Friday evening at Baxter school. The public is in vited. An entertainment and com mon games in charge of P. H.
