HRS. DICKSONWell Known Galva Woman Dies Alter Few Days Illness—Funeral Will be . Friday.Death has saddened another Gafva home.Mrs. Joe F. Dickson, one of the most widely known young women of the city, passed away dt her home *this morning at 4 o'clock after an illness of about ten days. Her death was due to spinal meningitis,Mrij^lbickson was taken ill a week Saturday night. At that time •Ther condition did not seem alarming rlnit as time wore on she ^became Worse and all that could be done for £her~was done, but nothing seemed to £be liable to check the ailment. On Thursday she became much worse ■ and from that time on the members of the family and the physicians realized that it was just a question of time until the end would come. Specialists were called in consultation with local doctors and the best they could tell the grief-stricken husband and members of the family was that she could not live but a few days.Monday Dr. Patrick of Chicago, one of the greatest nerve specialists in the country, came to Galva and after the noted doctor-had examined Mrs. Dickson he gave her only a few short hours to live.Since last Sunday Mrs. Dickson had been unconscious and remained in that condition until the end.Nellie Costain was bom in Kansas, April 27, 1888. Her parents died whenlshe was a mere baby and since that rime, up until her marriage, she made her home witli relatives in and near Galva. She received her education in the country schools around Galva and after completing her course there she came to Galva and attended the city schools.She was employed in Galva in some of the stores here after completing her school work, and in Jan-^ uary, 1911, was united in marriage to Joseph F. Dickson.Mrs. Dickson had scores of close friends in the city who join with the husband and little daughter Katherine, in their hour of affliction, for her loss is keenly felt outside of the family circles.The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon of this week at 2 o'clock from the First M. E. church. Rev. J. B. Bai*tle officiating. Interment will be in the Galva cemetery.
