D , 1853, unlil (ha flth diy of Docember, 1854, fai ditching Swamp Linda, in (own two norij of range seven east (Librrfy township), a description of which lands with ihe appraised value thereof is hereafter given. Payment for fhia ditching ia to be made in these Swamp Lands at their appraised value. The ditch ia lo commence whero Turkeyfoot creek crosses tbs Odowa and Napoleon Slate road about twenty or thirty rods south of Medary— ilicnco west as staked out to the east line of the west half of tbe north west quarter of aeetion eight, whole length of the ditch is one mile one hundred and •eventy-three reds; said ditch to be eightfeet wide at top and six at bottom, and two feel deep. Persons desirous of tub-rnitting proposals for a loss quantity than tba whole will state the amount proposed for and ita location.On the 6ih day of December, 18M, the proposals received will be oponed by tire Commissioners and Auditor, and the contract or contracts awarded to the loweat responsible bidder or bidders, unless all proposal* received should be con* aidercd unreasonably high; who will bn then and there required to give bond with •ecunty to the satisfaction of said Com rniaaioners, conditioned for iho faithful performance of his or their contract within two years from the dale thoreof. The Contractor completing his contract first mid having the snme accepted by the Commissioners will be entitled to the first choice of these lands.
