Lieut. Tommy Shipes came march ing home this weekâin time for serving dinner. The son of Police Chief and Mrs. Richard Shipes arrived in Mount Dora, from the Korean war front Monday, on leave from the Naval Air Force. He had spent several weeks in the Far East and was in the thick of the battle when United Nations troops pushed the commu nist forces back across the 38th parallel. He rejoined his wife, the former Dorothy Mae Conner,and their daughter, Cindy, at the Lake Jem home of the Owen Conners. Follow ing a week at home, the young couple will set forth for California where he will receive new orders.
