Ramona Schoenrock of Fair bury, state treasurer for Future Business Leaders of America, returned recently from the an nual state officer goodwill tour across Nebraska. Purpose of the tour was to in form chapters of new contests, special projects such as March of Dimes, and knowledge of parliamentary procedure. The first stop was Tuesday, November 12, at Crete. Schools in attendance at this meeting were Fairbury, Crete, Tri County, Lincoln Plus X and Sy racuse. The state officers Wednesday morning had breakfast with Roy Equall, program adminis trator for vocational education. Later in the morning they visited with Cecil Stanley, state commissioner of education. ‘Wednesday stops were at Lyons high school, to install a new chapter, Valley, to explain FBLA to students interested in starting a chapter; and North Bend to meet North Bend and Fremont FBLA’ers. Thursday breakfast was with the Norfolk officers. Other stops were at Ord, with Ord and Osmond, Centura chapter's, and I at Gibbon. Ravenna FBLA’ers also were at Gibbon The state officers were guests of the Holdrege chapter for Fri day breakfast at the Holdrege Country club, then visited Geneva high school's new chapter Omaha Westside was the site of a joint meeting for Fort Cal houn, Blair, Omaha Marian and Omaha Westside chapters. LORA JEAN EVANS IS DEDICATED SUNDAY Lora Jean Evans, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Gene Evans of San Pedro, Calif., was dedicated at the First Baptist church at Fairbury Sunday, Nov. 17, by Rev. Donald Shoemaker.. Attending the service in cluded grandmothers, Mrs. Stella Evans of Fairbury and Mrs. Lyle Belding of Endicott; aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Rumery and family and Frank Evans of North Platte, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brittenham and family of Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Belding of Fairbury, Mrs. Robert James of Jansen, Harry Evans of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Lora’s sister, Amy Nichole. VIRGIL KORTES HERE; CELEBRATE BIRTHDAYS Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Korte of Broken Bow arrived last Friday to spend the weekend with his mother, Mrs. H. L. Korte, and to celebrate their birthdays which both occurred on Nov. 16. The couple left Sunday after noon for their home where Virgil is a teacher in the Broken Bow high school. His wife is an RN at the hospital there.
