Cosgrove of Pearl River, employed in the pharmacology research department at Lederle Laboratories, Pearl River, is shown with her new book, “The Hidden Valley of Oz,” published this month by Reilly and Lee of Chicago. The book is the thirty-eighth in the series published by the Chicago firm and isfounded on and continues the famous Oz stories written by Frank L. Baum more than 50 years ago. Miss Cosgrove is the fifth writer to continue the Oz series, and this is her first published work. She has been at Lederle since 1946. A native of Westernport, Md., she was graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1043.
