Oyer, pastor of the North Baptist church in Ottawa, spoke in chapel November 1, on the subject of the “Creative Spirit.” Rev. Oyer stated that the universe is governed by a creative spirit and that a creative spirit is needed today in social living. Individuals violate the law of thecreative spirit, and thus it is that\Christian thinking and minds are so important in the world today.Christians who are willing to give their lives are needed in a world of careless attitudes. We obtain joy because our lives are dedicated to Christ, and satisfaction comes because of giving ourselves to Christ. Rev. Oyer’s concluding thought was that the world needs Christian hearts, minds, and spirits to bring the lost men to know Christ.The American diamond cutting industry employes about 4,000 cutters and apprentices.
