—Mrs. A. P. Cosgrove has recently issued from the “Lakeside Press,” of Donnelly Sons, Chicago, a book of instructions in oil and water color, cameo, lustre and other paintings. It is entitled “Amateur Art,” and is sold at #1.00. Copies can be had by addressing “Amateur Art Company,” Otis Block, Room 4,22d St., Chicago, III.—Mrs. Cosgrove, author of “Amateur Art;” Mrs. L. .1. Lanphere, author of “Reference Book for Chautauqua Readers,” and Miss Edna Jackson, author of “That Girl,” are sisters of Mrs. Helen M. Cougar. “Some of these girls are spilling ink enough,” remarks another sister, with justifiable pride, “to make a blot on the page of fame that will not wash out or fade with time.” So be it.
