KODIAK — Kodiak's own Tene nie Benson is in dire financial straits as a result of heavy hospital and dociay expenses occurred dur ing the past several months Henne who as a school young ster in Kodiak designed the Alas kan state flag and gained wi spread fame for the community, recently hid surgery for the re moval of some toes, and now it is feared that a leg may have to be amputated. His employer, Bob Hall, owner of Kodiak Airways, says that he knows the medical expenses have gone over the $5,000 mark and are continuing to mount. The Kodiak Mirror and others who know Bennie feel his recovery will be hastened if he feels a part of his medical expenses will be defrayed. All Kodiskans find other Alas kans who are willing to contri mail checks or make contributions addressed to the Bennie Benson Fund, no matter how final, to the Kodiak Mirror, P.O. Box 1307, ‘The names of all donors, wheth er they be clubs, classroom groups or individuals, will be publicly acknowledged in the Mirror.
