J. Steffey, Regional Supervisor for the Northwest Iowa district of the State Department of Education will deliver the main address. Musical selections on the program will be under the direction of Miss Lucille Berendt, music supervisor,Residents of Vernon township are justly proud of the new addition to their school and the pupils andfacul-ty are enthusiastically delighted with It,The basketball playing floor measures forty by seventy-two feet in bounds and has a regulation twenty foot ceiling with no exposed beams and is covered with aecoustic cello-tex as an aid to clear audibility.Bleachers built to accommodate throb hundred spectators run the length' of the gymnasium on the north side while the sixteen by twenty foot stage is directly oppositeon the south. The stage 13 fitted with a maroon and gold curtain in front of a soft olive twill cyclorama.The building is equipped with four dressing rooms including two with shower bath attachments. It is heated by an independent forced air system installed by the Camphell Heating Company of Dus Moines. The stage curtain was made by the Twin City Scenic Company of Minneapolis.This is one of the few buildings or additions of this kind built during .he past two years out of the district's own funda h: Iowa.
