Fine Program Followed Regular Business Session Last Night— Committee in Charge. (From Saturday's Daily.) The meeting of the Pythian Sis ters last night proved to be one of the most enjoyable of any for sev eral months. Following the regular business of the evening, a fine pro gram which had been arranged by Mrs. George Weimer, was rendered, and the members of the lodge were high in their praise of the excellent manner in which she got it up. A two-course luncheon in charge of a committee was also served during the evening. The program owns ‘‘An Indoor Track Meet,’ and was divided into five different events. The first was a thirty-inch dash and was won by Mrs. Sadie Wilson. Hanging from a string thirty inches long was a chocolate and the person getting the candy in their mouth first won the event. The second event was the shot put, and was won by Ira Wirt. The hammer throw, the third event, was won by Mrs. Eschmeyer, who threw the hammer one hundred two. and one-half inches. The hammer was a paper sack filled with air. The standing broad jump proved to be one of the most popular of the events, and was easily won by Mrs. Viola Murphy. The judge had all the contestants lined up before him and then said something real funny. The one having the broadest smile wag. The fifth event was the relay race and was won by F. M. Calbert. The winner of each of the other four events were the persons who formed the relay team. Mr. Calbert was substituted in place of one of the winners. The contestants were all lined up and given a dry cracker and the one eating it first won. The vanquished contestants allege that Mr. Calbert swallowed the cracker whole.
