Newport Harbor (7-3, 2-3) faces Los Altos in the opening round Friday night.Woodbridge wound up 2-8 overall and 1-4 in theSea View League. The Warriors scored in the first quarter. J.P. Sine scored on a 5-yard touchdown, but the Sailors responded with 42 unanswered points.I don't think we played our best game, said Woodbridge Coach Rick Gibson. We opened up with an 80-yard drive and then we scored. Our defense did well and held, but then we had a roughing-the-kicker penalty which was one of the bigger turning points.I just think not having a chance to go to the playoffs entered our minds. It wasn't a good way for us tofinish. They did a good job and they were more motivated than us. It was one of those lackluster efforts for us and I was disappointed.Woodbridge scored a fourth-quarter touchdown on a 6-yard run by Reshad Bahadori.Newport Harbor was led by quarterback Tom Jackson, who completed 15 of 19 passes for 262 yards and four touchdowns.Woodbridge now will focus on preparing for next season.See WARRIOR/C15
