Very interesting results were obtained during the past season. The portion of the field which was mulched with three loads ol straw per acre after the ground froze up In November, 1914, made a good winter survival and yielded an excellent crop, while the fields which were not mulched, both on corn stubble and summer fallow were totally winter killed.
